The double-jointed mouthpiece allows for a softer and more even pressure distribution over the tongue and bars, supporting refined rein aids. When the reins are attached to the lower ring, a lever effect is created, which can intensify the action. The different ring positions allow the rider to adapt the influence more precisely and may be used to introduce or test leverage in a controlled way.
