The high mucilage content of the husks that swell can bind soil and sand in the intestine thus ensuring that these are evacuated without difficulty. Feeding recommendation: Horses (600 kg) 30 - 50g daily / Ponies 10 - 15g daily. As a course of treatment for 30 days, soak 30 - 50g in 0.5l - 1l water for about 30 minutes and mix with the feed. A heaping tablespoon equals approximately 12g.
